Lydia is over a year old and happily eats most solid foods that we present to her. She is quite interested in the food that we eat and over a month ago started refusing baby purees because she wanted whatever we were having instead. I don't blame her! As tasty as some of those little baby food pouches are, nothing compares to pizza. I feel you, girl.

Speaking of pizza, that was the first actual food that she seemed interested in that was not a puree, so you know this kid has good taste! Anything with cheese is a favorite of hers from mac and cheese to fettuccine alfredo to carbonara, she is down with cheese. From that last sentence you can probably also guess that she loves pasta and you would be correct. Another favorite is potato chips. We cannot take out potato chips in front of her because then she will refuse anything else and just eat chips. Again, can't blame her for that one!
But when this little lady is not filling herself up with carbs and cheese, she loves fruit. When in doubt, if she wants nothing else, fruit will do the trick. She also loves the Greek Yogurt with Honey from Trader Joe's (after a couple weeks of her being one, since under a year old, babies cannot have honey due to botulism) and the combination of fruit and this yogurt has saved us a few meals. It is easy, tasty, and healthy for little ones with the full fat yogurt and fruit.
With this snack or meal, you can use any fruit that your little one enjoys! Lydia enjoys this yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and/or apple, since you can mix the yogurt with just one fruit, or multiple. I can see this being yummy with other berries, kiwi, mango, or pears as well. I mix the fruit with about half a cup of yogurt.
I was at Target the other day and also picked up these cute Cloud Island bowls from Target that are the perfect size for Lydia. They also have a rubber ring on the bottom to keep them steady on your table. Up until now I only had one bowl and one plate for Lydia, but now I have a few with the bowl and corresponding plate set.
What are your favorite snacks to give your little ones? What is your go-to that you find yourself reaching for when they do not like the other options you give them?
